Current work in the framework of Cong Zhang’s PhD thesis (University of Maryland) is focused on the extension of FIREFLY's forecast capabilities to the estimation of spatially-distributed parameters in order to adapt the EnKF strategy for regional-scale wildfire events. The validation is performed on the FireFlux experiment (I).
